Mayhem join:2012-02-26 Salmon Arm, BC | I phoned Shaw the other day and asked this very same question.
The guy told me it was necessary so they could hire more support technicians (then went on to say "notice how you didn't have to wait 30 mins to reach us?" - which is true, I had a live person on the phone within 4 mins during peak hours).
Then he tells me that it also goes towards all the DNU they have been doing. |

 | reply to ShadowMeph The base plans went up, mine went up by $11 |

And you should be saving a couple of bucks because basic cable is PST-free (anything beyond always had PST). So the increase in price is actually a bit more. |

To pay for Jim Shaw's $16,000 per DAY pension. A guy's gotta eat, ya know. »www.theglobeandmail.com/report-o···e567977/ |

 | With pensions, money should be put in gradually over the years to pay the pension outputs, while he ran the company, it was pretty good, after he stepped down, things got really bad...
While if anybody needs a $16k/day pension, I doubt it, but he did a fairly good job running the company -- Yes, I am not employed and looking for IT work. Have passport, will travel. |

 | Man... I checked my online bill and what do you know. Its over $120. I used to pay about $110 a couple months ago for all my services, now its about $10 more. This is really pising me off. Telus is becoming more and more competitive lately in terms of prices. |
|
 | drumbo,
switch to telus if it really pissing you of enough. i know Shaw is getting sickening with their increases lately. |
|
 | reply to drumbo btw drumbo,
i see you on telus.net so why you saying all your services with Shaw. so i'm sure you have telus inet or something. |
|
 | reply to ShadowMeph Telus prices aren't better by any means. I've been there, tried that. |
|
 | reply to bucko2012 Telus is far more expensive than Shaw on most packages with smaller theme packs and no sports channels in basic. The grass is not greener. |
