| reply to JohnDoh9 1) Don't download from sources that potentially can lead to a lawsuti against you.
2) If you don't want to hand over all your access/usage logs directly to your provider, buy a cheap VPS and setup your own VPN server. -- www.613websites.com ● Budget Canadian Web Design and Hosting

I'm partial to feral, but there's many out there. Once the downloads are done, ftp them back to your computers. |
|
 | reply to JohnDoh9 use a seedbox, very safe and cheaper then a VPN |

| reply to JohnDoh9 Good luck with that. Even though PIA says they don't keep logs and use shared IPs, they also say they won't share any information with third parties without a valid court order... Their terms of service clearly states:
You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with use of this service. You must also agree that you nor any other user that you have provided access to will not engage in any of the following activities: •Sending or receiving unsolicited and/or commercial emails, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or pyramid schemes; •Exploiting, possessing, producing, receiving, transporting, or distributing any illegal content, including but not limited to any sexually explicit depiction of children; •Uploading, possessing, receiving, transporting, or distributing any copyrighted, trademark, or patented content which you do not own or lack written consent or a license from the copyright owner; •Forging headers or otherwise manipulating e-mail identifiers in order to mask or mislead the origins of certain content; •Interfering with the service to any other user, client, host or network which reduces the quality of service for other clients and users; •Using the service to engage in Denial-of-service (DOS) attacks to any third-parties or to Privateinternetaccess.com; •Accessing data, systems or networks including attempts to probe scan or test for vulnerabilities of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without written consent from the owner of the system or network; •Using this service to transmit any material (by email, uploading, posting, or otherwise) that threatens or encourages bodily harm, injury or destruction of property, defames one or more third parties, or promotes any act of cruelty to animals; or •Accessing the service to violate any laws at the local, state and federal level in the United States of America or the country/territory in which you reside.
Yet, if they want to enforce their own TOS, they need to monitor (i.e. keep logs of) your activities...
It's very doubtful any company out there will accept to get sued for your illegal activities, and for only 40$/year... |

 | reply to JohnDoh9 Seedbox.org.ua
use google translate to view the site |

 | reply to JohnDoh9 If you are going to pay for a service you might as well pay for a usenet provider that offers encrypted connections... |

Rent a kimsufi dedicated server, the 2G works just fine. $15 a month. Make sure it is located in a European data centre, not in the Montreal data centre.
Setup as a seedbox, download to box, lftp from box to your computer. Can also setup a VPN on the box for whatever else you plan to do (will not have the best download speeds using it as a vpn though)
There is also usenet, but it's pretty shoddy imo compared to the quality that torrenting offers. Usenet has so many incomplete articles on older stuff and is not as good overall as torrents imo. I use both though. $25 a month for usenet & a low-end dedicated server. |

THAT is if you value your privacy.
and let me also get this right the one guy goes on about shared ips , then says to use a VPS ( virtual private server) UM NO....virtual anything is shared ON the same box ....you technically want a DPS dedicated private server.
dont be fooled , security and privacy are what you want. NOT a lack there of. |

use google translate to view the site "seed" as in uploading nice move to let people know what they are up too so now all data can be monitored even if encrypted destinations can be seen ....
the days of sharing this publically died with a conservative robocalled scam govt. |
