My cable bill is too high because I have to subsidize a million sports channels that I don't care about, I don't want a single penny of my money going to Glenn Beck.

I don't know how much of what he says, if he believes it, but he is quite reminiscent of the television preachers who cry like babies and keep spewing tales of woe, in order for people to give the preachers church money. Even FoxNews got tired of his crap and cancelled him once his viewership dropped below a million housebound users.

He is looking to create the city of GlennBeckistan in Texas for a few billion dollars.
Or he is just scamming people and sending the money to an overseas location non-taxed for safe keeping.
The people that would want to go into his freeper city(an big HOA) hate progress and are disgusted with progress and prefer the time of over a century ago of where there was a hierarchy of masters and lesser people. Guns will be plenty and no word on what happens if you kill your neighbor and eat him for food cause the city has no local farm for food. Its all hauled in from ugly America that they abandoned along with their citizenship.

Rob get the Tivo and a cable card you will get all the channel's you subscribe to if Cox has an HD version and you don't not need to pay for the whole home dvr.

Here in AZ you can get a Trio box for no extra charge. As long as you don't want the Whole Home DVR to go with it.

It's a very good website. Posting a question like this here will get a lot of very biased answers unfortunately. These answers will not be based on fact but on peoples personal preferences of the political spectrum. Most of them from people that have never heard Glenn Beck speak or seen him ever. An intelligent person will check the site and Glenn Beck out for themselves and make their own mind up. The rest will just listen to what others say about him and their "mind" up based on third party information that is biased.

As far as having it on cable, I hope it comes. I pay for it now and I would rather have it then a bunch of the other channels I am forced to pay for. But what I think would really be great is for each of us to pay for only the channels we want. Then the free market would clear out the underbrush. Dare to dream

I would hope that any cable company would base decisions like this on ratings and interested users/customers. If so then perhaps they would base their decision on the number of paid subscribers that any given channel like that has and extrapolate from that the number of people that may watch any if the channel was offered for free as part of a package. At least that is what I would think they should do with any prospective channel. Because in the end it is all about ratings. If no one watches then why carry it?

Of course if that is the basis for these kinds of decisions then I think many people would agree that I have no idea why they carry some of the channels that they do carry. So who knows how they really decide what to carry and what to let go.

Intelligent people investigate first and then make up their own mind. Intelligent people don't call other people unintelligent because they have an opposing viewpoint. I think you are entitled to your opinion but you seem to think that anyone that differs from you is unintelligent. That tells more about you than it does about those with whom you disagree.
