Won't matter until you get around 20 megs download speed or faster, then you'll have to stick with Doc 3 modems to get channel bonding. If you are purchasing a modem yourself, don't even bother looking for Doc 2 modems. Pricing and features wouldn't make a Doc2 a smart new purchase anymore.
