 | [AZ] Extremely slow speed later in the day Hi,
I'm on the ultimate tier in Scottsdale, AZ and while I have gotten my advertised speeds before it seems that recently (since the speed upgrades?) my download speed is crawling at around 10 mbps during (peak?) times. My upload is fine at 20-40 mbps.
I should be getting "up to 150" so in my eyes anything less than 100 is just not acceptable.
This seems to happen later in the day after 3 or 4 PM.
Power Level: Signal to Noise Ratio: Channel 1: -10.9 dBmV 36.5 dB Channel 2: -10.9 dBmV 36.5 dB Channel 3: -11.1 dBmV 35.9 dB Channel 4: -11.5 dBmV 35.9 dB Channel 5: -11.4 dBmV 36.1 dB Channel 6: -11.6 dBmV 34.7 dB Channel 7: -11.8 dBmV 32.3 dB Channel 8: -12.3 dBmV 33.2 dB
If there is a Cox tech to help I would really appreciate it -- maybe my neighborhood is overloaded, I'm not sure. Please advise.

Beezel join:2008-12-15 Las Vegas, NV | Your downstream power levels are way to low. You have a signal problem. They should be between +10 to -10. Are there any splitters in the cable line to the modem? You may need to have a tech come out. |

 | reply to xoclipse The signal definitely seems to be the issue, thanks guys! I plugged the modem into another outlet which is run directly to the outside of the house and my speeds are back to normal. I'm having a tech come out today to see if they can figure out the signal issue with the other outlet, though. Here are new signals:
Power Level: Signal to Noise Ratio: Channel 1: -8.6 dBmV 37.9 dB Channel 2: -8.8 dBmV 37.8 dB Channel 3: -9.1 dBmV 37.1 dB Channel 4: -9.5 dBmV 37.3 dB Channel 5: -9.5 dBmV 37.4 dB Channel 6: -9.7 dBmV 35.2 dB Channel 7: -10.0 dBmV 35.9 dB Channel 8: -10.3 dBmV 36.2 dB |
