 | Bad business decision Does Microsoft not realize there are a whole lot of people without broadband internet or with pseudo-broadband (capped wireless and satellite) who don't live in the sticks? I live in a middle class subdivision half hour from a major metropolis and we don't have cable or dsl because I'm 1 mile off the main road. I'm luckily grandfathered in on unlimited wireless but most people aren't. Not everyone in the US lives in Kansas City or Chattanooga. If Sony is not following suit, this will give them a big marketing advantage as well as for Nintendo (even if they have awful marketing overall). I will keep enjoying my Super Nintendo games and playing older editions of SimCity which don't require an online connection. Some games are made to play online like your average FPS or RTS but even most of those at least have a single player campaign mode if the internet is down. |
