[Cable] Cable TV/Internet Different Providers?

I currently have Cogeco TV and Teksavvy DSL (6mbs closer to 4 in reality). Recently Teksavvy cable has become available in my area.

My questions are;

1. Is it possible to have cable TV and internet from different providers?

2. If (1) is possible are there any potential issues that may arise?

Thanks in advance,
Shlomo

1. Yes Cogeco TV + Teksavvy Cable
2. No issues should be cause.

TSI I believe is now functioning in all Cogeco areas.

Only issue is if you have a MoCa home networked PVR set top box's then the tech that visits might have to move around some cable and filters. Other then that would be a-ok.

Thanks for the reply Kevin, a couple more questions.

What is a moca PVR?

Is Teksavvy using Cogeco lines?

MoCa network is when home cable vision wires are used to let set top box's connect to each other. In the case of Rogers TV. It is the NEXTBox 2.0 package.

And ya TSI would have to use part of your local cable or telephone company lines to connect into the home.
