[FireFox] FF 20 private browsing

Is there an option somewhere to make starting private browsing work a bit like previous versions, where it just takes over the window? I find it a bit annoying that it starts a new window, leaving the old window to close.

That behavior would be similar to IE. You have to manually close the previously opened tab.

It doesn't use Tabs.

The new Private Browsing function is implemented to allow anonymized use along with normal use window.
It's much more versatile and practical.

Fer sure, chachazz See Profile This new version has changed so much from the last - many are reverting, as I said already.
In some instances, two tabs will incur.

I don't want 100% privacy mode. I'd just like the 'old' window to close when the new private one opens.

i got it andyross you like to have like a mechanical switch A or B
unfortunately as chachazz's post above it was not designed that way since you don't want 100% privacy mode you will like this design sooner than later i hope

Why not .......I've had it on permanently since it came out and it doesn't affect anything.

The only bug is with the download manager which just started.
