Re: What firewall are you using that is capable of 50 Mbps?

FreeBSD server running pf for NAT and firewalling/port-forwarding.

I built a small computer with an Atom D510 processor with 2 GB RAM, 2 gigabit NICs (one integrated and the other is a PCI card I believe), and I use a compact flash card for storage (OS + logs). I've had it for like 2 years so far and it still works very well. It's running pfSense 2.1 BETA.

pfsense 2.something on an Atom. 50 is yawn inducing.

I also have a PFSense box based upon an old Intel P4 @ 3GHz, 2GB RAM, 20GB HDD and 3 Intel Pro1000 NICs (2 WAN + 1 LAN). It barely makes the CPU meter come up off 0-1% when I download something at 100Mb/s. I think I hit 12% CPU utilization when I tested 140Mb/s on 2 connections.
