I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank all of you for being so patient with us over the past few weeks.
Since we launched our new packages & service areas, we have been bombarded by both new customer orders and existing customer changes. It took us all by surprise on just how much demand these changes would generate, and quite honestly, its been quite awesome!
Our team has been working like crazy trying to battle the long wait times and the flood of DSLr & emails coming in. We have some more staff hitting the phone next week which will definitely help, with some more coming on board shortly after that. We even opened the OverTime flood gates!
I hope you guys are liking the changes, because as long as you do, we will continue making them happen
Have a great weekend all!
Cheers,
Andre -- TSI Andre Director of Service Delivery

 | Looking forward to upgrading, but think I will wait until the first rush dies down a bit, and any bugs are ironed out. |

snark join:2013-04-05 canada | reply to TSI Andre I'll let you in on a secret. There is ENORMOUS pent up demand for fast internet and generous (or unlimited) "bandwidth" caps. With fast uploads. And fair prices.
Here's a hint: if there's any way you can rework the connections to be more balanced, it would get you a lot of customers.
100/60 mbit is waaaaay better than 150/10, as an example. Extrapolate downwards from there. |

| reply to TSI Andre I pulled the trigger on 25/10 unlimited last night. I waited a couple weeks to see if the modem purchases would be available. But at this point I don't want to own a Sagemcom so I'll rent one until a better option is available.
Overall I'm happy with my 28/1 cable in Ottawa but having downloads under 10mbit in prime time is a pain plus I need faster upload but don't want to wait until July and pay $85+ for 150/10 cable that isn't unlimited.
I've also been scheduling downloads with getright and newsbin and it has worked out pretty well so far so I'll do my part to leave major stuff to 2-8AM.
Thanks Teksavvy. |

don't like the way you do that... just put the prices and options there for everyone to see. I know i can get about 14 megabit here.... soooo if you can go nice n stable next month i may the following month goto say the dsl ten unlimited. |

I ordered an upgrade on announcement day so I got in before the tsunami! No wait times on the phone. The upgrade happened as scheduled. I'm a happy surfer.
Thanks to all involved for making this all happen so quickly and so smoothly. |

Have you factored in the 150/10 unlimited + HST you'll find its quite a bit more than you'd get direct from incumbent, cable subs are screwed at the moment on this by the CRTC Tariff's, plus only available in certain area's that are set up for it. | reply to geokilla Sure and when you can only get a fraction of your package's subscribed bandwidth because CIKTel is most likely paying for a lot less capacity then the rest of the TPIAs, how is the value proposition going to look then?
There's no magic way around CBB. |

Overall I'm happy with my 28/1 cable in Ottawa but having downloads under 10mbit in prime time is a pain Once you are set up I would be very interested in hearing how 25/10 vdsl compares ....
I'm also with tek on 28/1 and would consider such a switch, for both the prime time speed & higher uploads ....
Once you are set up and have gone through your first weekend, could you start up a thread comparing the two from your perspective?
I would very much appreciate it.
Cheers -- .... and the monkey flips the switch. |
