 | How is teksavvy cable? I'm currently using DSL 6/.800 unlimited but was thinking of switching to cable 10/1.5 300gb. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on teksavvy's cable internet. And there's no hidden modem rental fee right? |

 | I have been on a cable package of 18 / .500 for about a month. I have no complaints it has not gone down although it gets a little congested around 9:30 pm some nights. I am waiting for the ATPIA to go through i will look at other packages. You do need to supply your own cable modem though. |

Amou join:2011-01-29 Guelph, ON | reply to Chrism I've been with Teksavvy DSL before cable and it makes a difference to me only because the DSL line sucks in my area, or use to anyways. New ATPIA is great no complaints so far. |

 | reply to Chrism I've had their cable 18 package (18mb download speed and 800kbps upload speed I believe) for a few months now with no complaints. Speeds are always consistent, and usually over 18mbps.
I also recommend getting the DCM 476 modem because it counters the network congestion (due to its hardware design) that many people complain about during high traffic times. I have't noticed any congestion/slow speeds with this modem and service.
Overall, the service is great, customer service is fantastic, and you get 300GB bandwidth which is more than enough so you will never have to worry about go over
oh and no modem rental fees/other hidden fees. You outright buy the modem for $99 it was I think and that is pretty much it. The only thing you will see on your monthly bill is the service package charge + tax. |

And there's no hidden modem rental fee right? The value just isn't there if you live in the area they service Vmedia's price are better and unlimited. Modem and install fees are better as well. |
