Re: Millenicom 4620 and Cradlepoint MBR1000

I was facing the same problem with a hotspot package and the Cradlepoint MRB1000. You will need to get another router that supports a bridge or repeater function. Some people on these forums have used the Cradlepoint MBR95, which has the needed function as follows:

Special Feature: Use WiFi as a Data Source. “WiFi-as-WAN” mode enables the MBR95 to become a WiFi repeater (using existing WiFi to create secure connections) or use as a WiFi-to-Ethernet adapter for non-WiFi devices.

My alternative was to use an old Linksys WRT610 router which I flashed with DD-WRT firmware. Go to DD-WRT.org for instructions and a list of supported routers. I have mine set up as a repeater, so that hardwired and wireless devices in my home network are handled by the Linksys. You should be able to find a pretty cheap supported router, especially if refurbs are OK.

Thanks. That's what I expected to hear but I was hoping for some miracle device that bridged the two devices that cost less than the MBR95. I will probably go the MBR95 route eventually.
