 | [Internet] PC TV tuner- Brevard county I'm fed up with BH dvr service and was looking to install a TV tuner in my desktop and use Windows Media Center as a PVR. Not being that savy in terms of what I might need or if this is possible for cable TV or not, just looking for some input on what I need to do. I'm def a noob when it comes to this!!!
I have seen somewhere that you can get a cable card from BH, but damn, I don't want to spend MORE money just cause they can't figure out how to record more than 2 shows at once. Also, without a cablecard, can I get all of the channels through the tuner that I get on the box? Couldn't I just use the out from the box to the input of the card?
I am just looking to use this in conjunction with my dvr now so I can stop worrying about getting the conflict message on recordings.
Seriously thinking about looking into that competitor that says 4 shows at once!!!!
Any help and input is appreciated!!!! |

 | Using media center and going that route is really nice but if your not that technical I would highly advise against it. While it doesnt sound difficult and CAN be easy, if there are any hick ups you will be stuck |

 | reply to bigdaddy Wow, wasn't expecting that much in price. Was just thinking to get a $50 tuner card to slap in my machine and off I go. Not going to give big business BHN more money just record a couple more shows. I will just deal with my crappy DVR setup as it is for now. |

 | You know the only thing BHN gets money from on that set up is the 3 bucks a month for the cable card.. |
