Re: The only happy BofA customer I guess said by skeechan:I have been with BofA for close to 30 years and never had any problems and always received good and prompt service. I know several people who have said that at one point of time or another. They've all got screwed over eventually. Personally, I got them to admit to an error on their part that led to a faulty, and hefty, charge on my account. Even after I got a supervisor to admit to the fact that they had screwed up, she still wouldn't reverse the charge. I switched banks shortly after that and have never looked back.
One of the worst stories I know of involves my old company. We used to have service personnel in several parts of the world at any given time. Naturally, they had company cards to cover their expenses while on the road. Anyway, when the economy tanked in 2008, BofA decided to cut the spending limit on all of our cards from 5 figures down to the low 4 figure range. It was barely enough to cover a flight, much less the rest of the trip. Here's the catch though. They did this overnight without so much as a phone call. No call, no letter, no nothing. One of our techs was in a middle eastern country, and unbeknownst to him or any of us, he tried to use his now over the limit card. When the charge bounced he was thrown in jail for credit card fraud and spent a couple of days there until we could clear the whole thing up. BofA didn't do shit to help us or him and they refused to raise the limit back up to their old levels. And before you accuse my old company of doing something wrong, the company had never made a late payment on it's cards and always paid the balances off in full every month. There was simply no reason to cut our balances like that and definitely no excuse to do so without providing notice of any kind.
Fuck that shitty company. I wish we hadn't bailed them out. |
