When you think your DIY skills are hopeless

Take heart, there's worse.

I saw that over on the building codes messageboard. It's kind of unbelievable that anybody would think that would stand up for any length of time!

Looks like an Angry Birds structure, it should hold just fine.

I can imagine a 10 year old designing this structure. It would be the only excuse to this structure's existence: A giant kid's lego construction.

The tree forts we 10-year olds built had better structure.

I just went over there and viewed all 35 pages, the chops toward the end made me spill pp through my nose... And I can't wait to see what the inside of that building looks like after a rainstorm...

But we had the tree as structural support

If I built a tree house for my kid, I certainly would make sure it was a LOT stronger than that abortion of a frame.

After all, if a tree house fails, kids fall down the tree.
If that shed fails, well, your lawn mower is covered in studs

No shed is complete without some electrical! Based on the construction, there is no doubt these guys can show us many new installation methods and other creative uses for Romex lamp cord.

Believe it or not that would hold. Sheathing is what adds significant strength. With enough cuts it might even line with the structure...

That's just hilarious and dangerous to stand inside of. It's been linked to so much around the 'net it has gone viral. Apparently all built with only a hammer, hand saw, and an axe, but directly on wet marshy grassland. There is a pool now on that website with members betting how long it will stand.

Next time someone casts doubt on your construction skills just go ahead and show them those photos.
