Morris Plains, NJ | DHCP is not renewing This is strange. I'm upgrading the software on my router (Astaro/Sophos), so I had assumed that since the hardware (and hence the MAC addresses) are not changing, I wouldn't have any problem with DHCP leases.
However, it seems that after the upgrade, I just can't get an external IP. I've tried rebooting the ONT - didn't help. If I switch back to the old router image everything works again.
I've even tried forcing a DHCP_RELEASE from the old router software, and then switching to the new image - still no IP.
I don't feel like waiting 2-3 hours on a Saturday night with no internet, so I'm staying on the old software for now, but does anyone have any idea why I wouldn't be able to get an IP on the same hardware? |

Wilmington, DE | With the upgrade there may be an issue with the NIC drivers. Astaro recomends intel. My Astaro is at the latest version of UTM 9 which was just posted to Up2date several days ago. What version is your UTM? Sometime ago with version 8 there was a IPS update which caused loss of internet..... Wht are the logs telling you? Please check them. |
