If moving but connecting to same Dslam...

I'm Moving down the road but i should still be connecting to the Same Dslam, will my internet still work without WS involvement if i connect my modem at the new house?

Not sure 100% how they do authentication. But hardware wise, unless the house where you are moving is already hooked through a pin (I use that loosely not knowing exactly) there is no internet. But they should be able to switch you over where you are connected and not need to come to your house. But, say that house never had DSL and the line is iffy, I would want them to come out. Let them measure the line.
Because if something goes wrong, you are stuck back in the loop with the telephone ........ Use the tech to your full advantage while they are there! They can fix things they see you might spend months getting customer service to send him back out.
The guys in the field are mostly Union men. They believe in doing it right for their customers, every single one I have met. Use them when you can.
