@distributel.net

Any way to make a web server with distributel.

I don't know but i'm not talking about the server on distributel site. I meant a server, directly using the distributel ip. Any ways to do it? I tried using my public ip and it didnt seem to work. And searching on google, didnt find any answers. Plus, port fowarding didnt change anything.

Generally speaking, running a server of any type is usually a violation of the TOS/AUP from the ISP.

Also, a large number of ISP's block some incoming ports as a general rule, SMTP, HTTP, etc.
There may be some ways around these blocks, but if you have to ask here, you likely shouldn't do it.

As said above... And given the upload speeds out there, hosting a web site off your home connection pretty much guarantees a slow web site. Considering there are some pretty decent and cheap web hosting companies all over the place, I wonder why one would want to do this in the first place(?)

Aside from TOS violations, if you are just doing it to try it. First thing: does it work locally? Can you see the website on the local machine? If not, make it work first.
