The Internet is Back

After dealing with degrading service for the past month + my modem finally decided to stop being sick and died.

This made it easy to troubleshoot.

I took it back to Comcast and after only a 15 minute wait I had a Cisco DPC3008 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem.

My old modem was a 2.0 Thomsen DCM425C.

Solid Connection now.

Woot!

It gets better. I removed my SonicWall Soho3 (over 10 years old) as my Internet Router and made my Linksys E1200 the router.

I went from 20Mbps down to 30Mbps.

Upload is unchanged at >5Mbps. I pay for 3Mbps.

Double Woot!
