 | Moca - Actiontec - Can't connect over home coax My dad has been using Moca for years and I went with powerline. After seeing his consistency and speeds over the years I've finally given in and got a steal on a handful of units. They are working great in a closed environment where I directly connect them via coax, but if I connect them to my house wiring directly (no splitters) they cannot see eachother at all. I'm also connecting them to known good ports (one typically has my cable modem on it, and the other my DirectTV DVR). I'm failing to see why they couldnt see eachother unless its common for households to have coax managed by another device that prevents access to one another or have multiple split zones in coax?
Since that is *not* my specialty I was hoping I could get some suggestions so I don't have to scrap this project.
Thanks! |

 | But, I'm not using any adapters .. I'm connecting the Actiontec router directly to each coax wall outlet with a 6' coax cable.
Any suggestions? |

If you are running DirecTv or Cable Internet over the coax, it will make it very difficult to also run the MOCA units on it. If you are running DirecTv, try their DECA adapters instead of the MOCA units. |
