| Do chairs count as home improvement? So I guess the glue dried out and the chair just kinda split. No pegs or nails or anything. At least I have an excuse to try my pocket jig out. |

Well we will see what happens, I messed up on the first hole but since the chair was really just garbage anyways it's no big deal.

It doesn't look like an office chair, so I guess you are good to go 
I know you said no pegs, but it actually does look in the picture as if there is one in the middle. Is that just an illusion (a horizontal support between the rear legs showing through the gap) ?

yeah it's the lower leg rung, it's an optical illusion.
