Re: DSL connection is OK except for YouTube I doubt your YouTube speeds are being throttled. You're probably not maintaining a good download speed. Have you checked the speed you're receiving? Also, will this happen on all computers, phones on WiFi, and tablets? It could also be an issue with the computer itself. |

It is directly connected by ethernet to the 1704 modem/router on our 3MB connection
I suppose it could be something with my Mac that just affects Youtube, but i have no idea what that could be other than perhaps Abobe's crappy Flash plugin - although Flash works ok on other video sites...
When starting to watch a YT video the speed is about (320 KB, sorry this is how the MacOS X Network Activity Monitor measures speeds.) and then after several seconds (usually less than a minute) the speed drops to a few KB or even 0 and the YT video can't continue to load.
This is is with every video on YT |
