| $39 electrical connector for $7 @ Lowe's Stopped by my local Lowe's this afternoon and I noticed they had an L14-30R connector that usually sells for $39 clearanced for $7. It is made by Hubbel. The reason I wanted this is so I can make a longer cord for my generator as the one included with the transfer switch was only 10 feet. The plug was full price.
My question is what could be the reason they're selling a $39 connector for $7 and if I use it will it burn the house down if wired properly.
They usually carry Pass & Seymour Legrand products but they have this Hubbel connector for $7. -- I've experienced ImOn (when they were McLeod USA), Mediacom, Comcast, and Time Warner and I currently have DirecTV. They are much better than broadcast TV.
I have not and will not cut the cord. |

Should be good. Just inspect it for obvious defects when installing. |

None the less for $7 it's a deal. |

The last box of 20A switches I picked up were made in China so I guess there is no need to pay the Hubbell premium now. -- Zach |
