VDSL Availability Verification

I tried to get a VDSL installation through ElectronicBox awhile ago, but come the instillation date, the tech told me I was unable to achieve even 3Mbps; apparently there are no remotes available for my address, only a straight connect to the CO. According to the Bell verification tool, my address is eligible for top tier VDSL (25/10Mbps then, and as of today, 50/10Mbps).

What I don't understand is, my building has a postal code to itself.

I didn't follow up on troubleshooting the DSL install. When I found out this strange issue I immediately jumped ship to cable for a full refund. However, now that I see 50/10Mbps DSL with happy hours is available to me via Teksavvy I would like to explore this further.

Is it possible the technician didn't know about an available remote?
