Odd Couple
I'm not sure if these ducks are the same animal or different. If they are different, I have never seen them both on the pond at the same time.

I think the first one is a male duck that is a hybrid between a black duck and a mallard. However, when I see the other pictures I am not so sure. The other pictures don't look like any type of duck I know.

I have not seen an odd duck like this around the pond before, and it definitely seems to be being treated like a female by the male mallards, but I am just not sure.

Believe me, I am a long way from a duck expert, but I am guessing Mallard Hybrid. Those Mallard's have their way with many other duck species.
