OT Casio VS-101 1987 digital-Ish(analog) camera

Any Idea how much this old digital-Ish(analog MOS (metal oxide semiconductor 280K pixel CCD.) camera is worth . The photos are stored on special floppy discs. I see the floppies selling for 20$ a pop

I saw one at the local thrift store brand new in the box

according to one site it's Museum piece

but for me it means $$$$ in my pocket

There is a used unit listed on Fleabay currently for $2000. If a used one would actually sell for $2k, then MIB never used should be worth twice that, especially if the unit is in original shrink wrap.

The listing says this originally sold for $1500.

Oh jeeze that sounds like the original Mavica cameras, which wrote to VFDs (Video Floppy Disks)

They actually contain, if I remember right, frames of analog video for each individual picture!

Very interesting technology, but yeah only something a collector is likely to want.

Yes a collector will have to pay a premium price for it.
