USB 3.0 cables qustion

I have went over my head, and i have ordered three USB 3.0 type A to micro B M/M cables (6ft.). I also have 1ft. A micro B M/M cables so i am wondering if it was better to get one of extension cables A Male to Female for externals hard drives. What do you all think?

Huh?

I think you skipped straight to the part where you just assume everyone knows what you're doing.

What i was trying to say is there are GoFlex cables that are direct Plug'n Play and there are short cables 1ft. that require extension cable if you want it to be longer than 1fit. in size.

Cables of the proper size are always the best bet. Each connection in a path (any path of hardware or cables) increases the chances of causing trouble/errors.

In other words, buy cables the length that you require. Don't plan on using extensions except in special instances.

This is exactly what i have thought. The other thing i do not like about extension cables they do not provide a secure connection to the device or hardware.
