Goodbye comcast going to fiber to the house www.metronetinc.com Just south of Indianapolis indiana
I m not complaining you was a good isp provider

but I will be saving some money 50 60 a month on triple play
only had tv internet with you 220$ a month vs 150 ish

tech info gpon lucent ont motorola iptv box
no caps

internet is a flat cat5e cable from ont straight to router or computer

top internet connection for the fiber service is 100 and 300

local office closest comcast office is 30 miles

I will not miss price hikes or confusing bills
internet choices in my area are

fixed wireless local company
century.embarq dsl
comcast
fiber to the home

which one would you choose ?

thanks comcast but I at least try fiber

I wouldn't mind finding out more info about their speed tiers, but those prices are worse than that I am paying Comcast right now. I have 105/20 Internet and Digital cable for under $200/month.

Compared to what Comcast offers here, those "fiber" bundles are more expensive.

And I bet if you simply called Comcast you'd get a better offer.

HA! For $130 i get the exact same thing they offer for $200.

I find it funny that you actually think you're getting a deal and come here to brag about it.

Is it a job requirement to post the same ad once a year? We get it. Those prices suck.

FTTH without symmetric service? Sonic.net, in markets they serve with FTTH, offers symmetric service; 100/100 Mbps for $40 a month, or 1/1 Gbps for $70 a month. Paxio, in markets they serve, also offer symmetric FTTH; from 5/5 Mbps for $28.50 a month to cable speeds, 30/30 Mbps for $48.50 a month and 50/50 Mbps for $68.50 a month (and up to 1/1 Gbps for those who can afford to go really fast).

Frankly, I find Franklin prices/speeds to be ... underwhelming.

Sonic.net, in markets they serve no Sonic.net here
I fail to understand why people compare whats available in their market compared to somewhere else in the country

what about a gallon of gas gallon of milk not the same

gallon gas 3.34 at the moment

your comment ... underwhelming.

Wow, you must have the record for moving services. Its funny how you show bundle prices via metro and individual prices via comcast.

Nor do they serve Metronet here. And what your charts show is still feeble for fiber; even Verizon has symmetric tiers for FiOS. Only equally feeble fiber offerings I have seen are from AT&T U-verse, where they long limited customers to 18/1.5 in order to prevent their copper customers from bugging them to expand their FTTH plant.
