I had a buddy who worked in a pool store, he said the "free testing" is the biggest money maker for them. He said basically all you need is chlorine and maybe clarifier if you have a glass bead filter. Ive followed his advice now for 10 years and save a LOAD on chemicals!
I never test my own water.
I call bullshit on all you need is chlorine and clarifier..
I've never used a clarifier in 23 years.
I buy what I need.
The biggest mistake most pool owners are guilty of is not keeping the water balanced the entire time the pool is in service.
