Difference between MI424WR-GEN2 and GIGE?

I currently have a MI424WR-GEN2 Rev E router on my 25/15(?) service. The problem is I am using MAC address filtering and there seems to be a limit of only 10 allowable MAC addresses to be allowed access.

I see verizon now has a MI424WR-GIG2 router which is red and has 2 antennas. My router is black and one antenna.

I was told unless I go to speeds of over 100, my GEN 2 router is OK and they wont upgrade me. If I want to change routers, it will cost me $79.

Questions:
1. I have 4 computers on the network using CAT5. Would I get better PC to PC transfer rates with the GIGE over the GEN2 -Rev E?

2. Does the GIGE have a limit of 10 MAC addresses for filtering?

3. Does the GIGE have better range with 2 antennas? Does the GEN2-rev E support N or is it just B/G?

Thanks for any input.

1. Yes, but you can also do the same with a GigE switch connected to one of the Rev.E ports.

3b. Rev.E is only B/G.

Other folks with direct experience can answer the other parts of your questions.

2. Same limit of 10 MAC addresses applies. BTW, MAC filtering is worthless.
