[BC] Shaw Cisco/Linksys modem or SMC modem for BB100?

Which modem should I request for BB100 the cisco/linksys one or the SMC one? I'll be using my own Asus RT-N66U router

Cisco, if they will honor your request, no idea, but that is the better modem.

Make sure to request it bridged.

And verify it is, before hooking up your router...

What is the purpose of bridging it?

Turns it into just a modem, rather than the modem-router combo that is normally is.

If you are hooking it up to a router, you do not want it being a router too.

Agree with Kevinds, get it bridged or turn off the wifi radio on the Cisco and use the Asus as a WAP. The wireless on the Cisco DPC3825 is pretty poor, you're probably better off with the Asus for wifi.
