Old, old, old news. They keep pushing the date back. Don't matter, it's an unwatchable channel regardless.

Because when it was first announced there were people who were posting for FIOS not to drop G4 channel. Didn't bother to read that content provider was dropping G4 and changing it to Esquire.

Watch Revision3 on the Internet, it's the best alternative.

They haven't notified Tribune yet. They still have some new shows debuting on 4/23.

New shows can always debut, but the name change has been postponed until summer.

You know, when G4 was actually about video games, it was a pretty good channel. Then Comcast decided to buy TechTV, kill TechTV, stick G4 in its spot, and then molested all of G4's remaining programming. They destroyed two great networks and put this abortion in its place.

Just remember who is responsible for this disaster: Comcast. Even if they didn't provide spectacularly shitty service I would still be boycotting them solely for this debacle, ten years later.

I don't forget, Comcast!

Agreed, I used to like G4. Would watch it late at night. Comsuck kills anything it touches.

It's a dead channel. I've listened to former employees speak of how badly the channel was run, there's no creative people left there.

E!? It does, what it does, well.
Same goes for Bravo and USA Network. All 3 are Comcast.

And it's too soon to give NBC Sports Network a grade. But with the English League signing just this week, NBCS picture looks good. Also a Comcast.

Syfy is another story.

Re: G4/Esquire TV

This article has more information about what shows Esquire will be showing. Looks like they have some old sitcoms like Magnum PI and A-Team.

Magnum PI and A-Team are not sitcoms.

I guess that's subjective.

USA and SyFy came from the NBC Universal side of the merger, not the Comcast side. Comcast didn't mess with them much.

Bravo... well Bravo also came from the NBCU side, but they turned it to shit a long time ago. If you think it's good now, that's because you weren't there when it was showing great premium-quality artistic programming

I actually have Comcast and haven't had any negative issues with their service, although apparently your experience has been different. It's not particularly Comcast itself fault, it's the incompetence of the executives and program directors who were directly in charge of the channel, who's names funny enough aren't listed anywhere probably for their own safety.

One of my biggest regrets is being too young to have been able to enjoy TechTV in it's full glory in it's hayday, only catching the last 4 years from 2000 to 2004.

Personally I miss iNHD and iNHD2 which then became MOJO HD. That there had original content created specifically for those HD channels. »en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOJO_HD

Is this still delayed? Was looking forward to checking out what this channel ends up becoming once again. At least change the call letters already.....

COPS is moving from Fox to Spike in September. Same format, One hour of shows, one new, one rerun. I am betting that you will be seeing syndicated reuns on Spike shortly.

Fox's loss though I wonder who is going to change their resolution format first. Is Cops going to start recording their programming in Spike's 1080i resolution instead of the 720p resolution that they've been recording in with Fox the past 25 years. Hopefully they will carry Cops in a native resolution and it look amazing instead of downscaling or upscaling and it looking yucky.
