Re: Malwarebytes has gone INSANE!!

I will say this, I have had the paid version of Malwarebytes since a paid version was available. In their defense, this has never happened before to my knowledge. When it rains it pours I guess but they did make an extraordinary attempt to give support to correct the issue.

I fired off and email to support and had a reply in 5 minutes. Ten minutes after that my system was back to normal. I can only hope most others experienced the same quick support.

Now wondering if it's worth buying.

It's not. Why would anyone have it automatically running all the time as a service anyway?

Those seem like positive steps. I was lucky to miss the bad definitions. While I have set my Pro version to alert rather than automatically quarantine system files, I did see that they are going to attempt to provide a way to avoid runaway situtations like the one that hit so many, and they probably need to do that even if auto quarantine is disabled by the user, based on the comments about that.

Some key points on this issue were addressed directly by MBAM staff at this Wilders thread.

That is because the hackers are trying to get to me.

They realized I use Malawarebytes and decided to go after it.

Re: Malwarebytes has gone INSANE!!

As a "We are sorry move" malwarebytes will be providing free updates and upgrades of their product to all the PRO HomeUsers for the lifetime of their product.
