Marvel HeroesSo yesterday i open my emailed and i got invited to closed beta for marvel heroes this weekend i tried it yesterday, and actually love the game, it has that classic diablo feeling to it but its not that ether and to be able to level your crafter level, or weapon sellers level, it is prety cool. i love how you can customize your own guy with the skills but not the appearance. |

i will try when i get home for sure, the graphics are the best of the best its cartoony but i rather have my superheroes cartoony then anything else :P, suposely they are opening the game on the 4 june or 4 july cant quite remember. its prety cool because like for the crafting you level your crafter and well he gets new recipies, i defeated doctor octopus, venom, taskmaster (on him right now), living lazer. and like each boss drops a medal that you can use and each medal has a unique skill of the boss you defeated and i find that really interesting! |

This game seems to be under the radar, having loads of fun with it, definitely will be playing way too much then I should when it gets released in June! |

I've been enjoying it as a time killer for right now. With the same mechanics of a diablo esk kinda game it's been entertaining. |

I tried it this past weekend and found it to be very meh. Maybe it was because I was playing as Hawkeye, but the character options/attacks were fairly limited and it was little jarring see a whole bunch of other "Hawkeye"s running around. On top of that, the enemy AI is abysmally dumb and varied very little. |

What are the skill trees like? Are they very deep/customizable? Can I have a mele Hawkeye or a ranged Hulk? |

I only tried out Hawkeye, but the trees are not deep. Hawkeye has a few melee moves, but they are move of "keep the enemy away so I can keep shooting from a distance" type moves. |

Ah well that's a bummer. After PoE though most skill trees are going to seem underdeveloped I think. I'd still like to give this game a try on release. |

Hawkeye fleshes out a bit more as you level up, i agree he is pretty vanilla at first, but once you ditch that stupid kick for his roll ability, things get interresting. |

I tried it out a bit ago, didn't like it. It is like diablo without the gear visuals. Imagine at 60 in D3 looking like you did as a lvl 1 unless you spend money to purchase outfits. Games in this genre typically are about 2 things, leveling up and gear acquisition. Leveling is self-explanatory, but the gear acquisition is where this game has issues. There are many pieces to find, but you never get to show them off. What is the point of searching hundreds of hours for top items when you look like that lvl 1 toon that just came in the game? The crafter leveling part is neat, but you do that once at the cost of items, then there isn't anything left. Also, you have to level your vendors in order to get items that will help your levels as they get higher. |
