I'm setting up an VoIP system for my home /home office- and went to check out BroadVoice since they allow BYOD and found out that they do not support Asterisk- I thought that they used to at one time? Or is this a new policy since PhonePower bought them?
They don't support Asterisk that doesn't mean will not work. On the other hand you have a lot of choices like Anveo, Callcentric, Voip.ms and so on. Checking BroadVoice web site I see on the support page instructions for Asterisk though.
The BroadVoice website says you enter the server information into the device and then it configures everything. No other information is given when you tell it you want to BYOD. I would assume this is after PhonePower bought them?
I just signed up with VoIP.ms though and looking at a few others to play around with.
