SB6121 problems

I upgraded my modem from a docsis 2 to a docsis 3 modem. I got a motorola sb6121 from newegg.com. This modem is brand new. I called up cox tech support and the person that I talked to asked for the model of the modem and she also asked for the customer s/n and HFC Mac ID. I gave her those numbers. I was able to connect without any problems.

Now an hour ago I noticed that I was not able to get a connection. I am able to go cox.net but the speed was so slow. I don't know if there was an outage in our area. I found out later on from someone in chat support that there was none. So I don't know if the modem was causing this problem but now everything seems ok.

Anybody here experienced the same problem?

Problem solved the modem was just provisioning itself according to the the COX TS
