Teksavvy's new branding - Comment Thread

Hey there!

I'm just posting this to let everyone know that, upon receipt of my new cable modem, I was very pleasantly surprised with the branding on the outside box, and the mini-instructions within.

I think it was an excellent idea, and although I'm not a new customer, it made me feel welcome all over again. I got the warm and fuzzies, and I want to say thanks.

Thanks for being my ISP for the past 5 years. I really love doing business with you, and you have my admiration and respect for remaining truly unlimited.

I look forward to a more robust connection, which will allow me to regain access to HD content on various networks, as well as a better connection to the Planetside 2 servers, hopefully increasing my level of gameplay to where it should be, without the limitations of a mediocre connection to the internet.

Cheers, and once again, thank you. You guys are doing all the right things, and you will be rewarded.

Which modem was this? Sounds like a another positive step towards building the business and making service stronger.

Yep, sounds great. I'd love to see some pictures and maybe read over the instructions on the sheet.

What new branding? Mine says "THOMSON digital|BROADBAND CABLE MODEM"

Do unlimited plans get special modems?

Yeah, I have to say Teksavvy's new advertising campaign is very good. I'm recovering from a medical problem at home, and my partner had to go to the post office to pick up my modem. When she gave me the parcel, I opened it and laughed hard (they say laughter is the best medicine).

What new branding?

It's the new advertising campaign.

The DCM476 comes with a slipholder showing the nerdy sci-fi guy saying, "Oh boy, oh boy! Something to connect!"

Hahaha I didn't even know that, that's awesome, I am going to have to go check out one of them in shipping when I go back to Chatham!

I'm sure someone at Teksavvy can provide them. I am, honestly, recovering at home (very sore at the moment). Sorry.

That's a lot of modems going out, and a lot of what looks to be empty cable modem boxes.

I actually think I still have the Motorola SB6120 from the cable internet test account. I don't remember if I ever had a return label for it, if I did, it's probably long since expired. What's the procedure for returning it? Too bad Gabe didn't go to the QIX launch, I could have handed it to him while he was in town :P

Oh man.... that Betty poster would have been awkward last summer when I helped get my Grandma hooked up. Much more awkward than telling her that her birth year was too old for the web form.

I just wish TSI didn't put those silly pictures on my e-mailed invoice. I print them as a reminder to pay it on time. It uses a lot of my colour ink and comes out of the printer soggy.

I really don't need a Teksavvy advertisement on my bill; I'm already a customer!

Here's where I get flamed.... I find them extremely immature.

Probably the best poster out of the entire selection in my opinion.
