[Exede] Exede-5 & Adblock Plus
Those using Exede-5, or even Exede-12, who are not receiving a complete page download within about 5 seconds may want to use FireFox branded browsers and install Adblock Plus addon.
As discussed in this thread,
»[Exede] AcceleNet & Traffic Bottlenecks
When AcceleNet server (blade) can not send the full page (and its content) to your browser, your browser may have to fetch all the missing elements, which can consume lots of time.
If your upload speeds are quite low, this will be experienced...long waits for a page to load.
By using Adblock Plus addon, this will reduce some of the elements from being fetched by your browser. I would also suggest Flashblock.
Based upon my experiences...YMMV...depending upon your upload/download speed on your beam.

Been using FF w/AB+ for years, but didn't know about FlashBlock. Thanks for the tip

didn't know about FlashBlock.
But, for those on Exede-5, and Exede-12, who are not receiving the full bundle of packets within 5 seconds, this AcceleNet/Network failure to deliver the whole web site intact will mean your computer will have to fetch the missing elements.
And, imho, there's the rub with AcceleNet tech, when users are not receiving the full bundle of packets on a beam during prime-time, this could bring about an overloaded situation quickly when those consumer computers have to individually fetch the missing elements.
So, when consumers experience a primetime slowdown, imho, it may be due to an AcceleNet/Network SNAFU, by engineering design.
AcceleNet may work fine on land based LANs that don't use Cisco's traffic devices, but via satellite, when it does not deliver, I think network issues are the end result, with consumers waiting upon page loads.
