Re: Norton now says Malwarebytes is in conflict..

Is that with the new Norton 2013?
I have Norton 2012 and Malwarebytes co-exists without issue.

Same here. On my other box (a desktop), I've been running NIS 2012 and Malwarebytes without incident.

Not sure, it may be. I had the issue arise last week. The version of NIS I am using is 20.3.1.22. I have excluded the files that MarkAW mentioned. I'll post back if the problem occurs again.

Sorry.
I also realize that Norton has dumped the year version format on their products. I'll find out what version I'm using shortly... EDIT: it's v19.9.1.14. No conflicts or alerts with this version.

19.9.1.14 (NIS 2012 w/Vista Ultimate 32 SP2) and 20.3.1.22 (NIS 2013 w/Win 7 64 SP1) here.

Edit for clarification: I only received the conflict warning today and then only on my Win 7 64 box.

I have known about this conflict for quite some time now, with the 20.x series only.
Warning NIS 20.3.0.36 NOT compatible with Malwarebytes
However, this would be the first time I have heard users stating that the 19.x line is now affected also!
I will report back if I see any warnings or conflicts. So far zilch.
EDIT1: Forgot to mention that I am running Windows 7 SP1 64-bit.

nis v 20.3.1.22 running on windows 7, sp1 , fully patched, 64 bit

To me, its not worth the hassle of security programs being in conflict so I kept the one I paid for (nis) and dropped malwarebytes. Hopefully, this gets resolved soon.

Actually, I'm more concerned with them fixing the issue of being able to access the Identity Safe feature locally as we discussed in another thread a while back. That's why I continue running NIS 2102 on my desktop, which utilizes Identity Safe on a regular basis and continues to allow local storage.

Don't use that particular NIS feature at all on my Win 7 64 laptop.
