Re: Service Electric Cablevision News Jed- If you check out the WOW forums here serving MI, OH, and IL -the Arris system is the same thing they have.
Overall, it looks identical to what the MOXI was. I had a hunch SECV would trial this.
As far as integration - I see now that the upgrades to the Mahanoy lineup as well as the CATV system they acquired in the Danville area has now been completed in regards to HD channel expansion.
SECV is nicely taking over much of the East-Central PA area. -- "ONE team - ONE city - ONE dream!!" |
Jed1 join:2012-01-14 Frackville, PA | JeepMatt, We had the final HD channels added in January but I had issues because they had copy protection turned on and I could not view them with my two cablecard tvs. It took two days to get this resolved.
Here are some links from Arris about the moxi whole home solution: »www.reuters.com/article/2011/02/···20110217 »www.arrisi.com/products/premises/index.asp Click on the gateway family and the media player family links. »www.arrisi.com/solutions/ip_video/index.asp It looks like this setup is really tailored to customers that have the triple play as the gateway has video, voice, and data all in one box. I almost bought the retail three tuner moxi with a mate but Arris announced that they were discontinuing it so I dodged a bullet there. I am still considering the Tivo but may postpone the purchase until I see how this works and what its monthly price tag will be. |
