Google Glass hackers can see what you see hear what you hearquote: Thanks to a glaringly obvious security flaw in the futuristic Google Glass wearable computer, a hacker could within minutes take control of the device -- seeing what you look at, hearing what you hear, experiencing life through your senses.

Wasn't there a movie about something like this? Remote living or whatever? I guess like a PC we could put tape over the glasses and mic. lol! |

Well duh, you're voluntarily wearing a camera and mic. There should be no expectation of absolute privacy as there will ALWAYS be a chance of the device becoming compromised.
The same holds true for any smartphone. |

We'll have drones overhead anyway Ahh... but perhaps not for long: Tiny Device Will Detect Domestic Dronesquote: ...The device will cost $69 and will be about the size of a USB thumb drive. It will use Raspberry Pi a tiny, $25 computer and commercially available microphones to detect drones.
Once somebody figures out an economical way to wed an array of these babies (for DF purposes), and integrates it with a servo-motored cradle for a skeet-shotgun, the games will be on. Measure... countermeasure... counter-countermeasure... there's an entire cottage industry looming. |

Hey - the possibilities are endless... DF on the drone noise, aim and fire a model rocket in that general direction, and final-guide it in using a model airplane joystick servo control for the vanes: SAMs for the home front. Then, for the next product upgrade, add rocket-noise filters for the drone detector array so it can track the rocket as well as the drone, and with a little more digital magic, have the servo system send commands to continuously converge the rocket's location solution with the drone location solution. Now you've got a homebrew SA-2 system, fully sky-legal. |

Me, I 'd prefer to build a Faraday cage around my toys and an EMP generator around that. Then I'd have a big red button labeled "Easy".
Pzzzzt! |

Pzzzzt! Yep... that should do it. That is, until they start using trained carrier pigeons with microcameras strapped to their leg. But that's another story for another thread... |

This topic was already discussed in your own previous thread: » Re: Google Glass: The opposition grows Did the fact that it referenced a ZDNet article instead of a Fox News article disqualify it from being recognized as a legitimate post? Or was your previous thread just too TL;DR for even you to keep up with? |

While I realize this is an actual hack on the glass pre-release platform... every smart phone has the same concerns.
Think about that front facing camera that pops just out of your front pocket.... or the back facing camera... the mic... the gps... all of our devices allow hackers to see and hear.
