[Qwest] CenturyLink and Cisco 887

I'm trying to figure out if the Cisco 887 is compatible with the VDSL2 that CenturyLink deploys in the Seattle area. They only advertise two "compatible" modems on their website, and only 1 is actually available (Actiontec Q1000).
I'd hate to spend $450 on the Cisco to find it isn't compatible.
I'm not looking for support from CenturyLink - I've managed Cisco routers in the past (back in the 11.1 -> 12.2 days).
Can anyone shed some light?

According to the spec sheet, it should work, AFAICT, but why don't you ask Cisco?

However, if I were you, I would get a cheaper modem, and a separate Cisco router (if that's what you are after), and bridge the 2. I have used the Q1000 and as a bridge it worked fine for me.
