Maybe a Japanese cherry tree?
Many, many years ago we had some type of fruit tree that had white blossoms that looked very similar to the one you posted but I don't remember now what it was unless it was a pear tree.

Not a Pear Tree. Our Pear Trees had bloomed and blown away by the time this tree bloomed.

That's what I originally thought it was but felt that that was too simple. So I looked on for something similar. The Pear was as close as I could come. I am happy that you posted for my sake as well as Sue's.
