Connected with wrong IP address

Using D-Link N150 to operate wireless HP printer using ad-hoc network. Was working fine previously for over a year but then I manually changed the printer ip address to correct a problem communicating with a 2nd computer and now the printer does not work with any of the computers.

The printer diagnostic says it is connected successfully with the new IP address. The Dlink software says it is connected but gives an incorrect ip address. The HP Printer installation software says the computer and printer are not communicating and suggests changing the printer IP address. Not able to reach the embedded web server in the printer with its new IP address to change it.

Is the problem with the Dlink adapter or the HP printer? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Meanwhile, I will try to restore the printer's previously working IP address.

What exact model is this D-Link N150?
Have you set up Reserved IP addresses ON the main host router for all devices?
