UPS missing package

I were supposed to get a package the tracking shows it was delivered, and it was left at the front door when i have checked the package was not there. Has this happened to you?

Yes, several times
On 2 occasions the neighbor called us about the miss-delivered item. Several others just went "POOF"

In those cases the shipper filed claims with UPS, the shipper made good the missing items.

As it stands now UPS requires a signature for every item to our address.

In our cases the root cause was miss delivery rather than any chance of theft off the door step.

But they HAD to have gone somewhere. Only two called us.

Turns out i have looked at the wrong tracking number, because i have ordered stuff from the same company twice so the conformation e-mails looked very similar the company name. "Update: Your package is shipped."

Have had similar experience. Had to have the sender file a claim. After several days, UPS checked their GPS coords where it was delivered and found it was left at my house number on a nearby street. They were able to retrieve the package and redeliver to me.

Your "neighbor" never bothered to check the name on the box??
What did they think, it was a GIFT!??!?!

I've had neighbors drive to my house and hand deliver misdelivered items on several occasions, and I have done the same.

I've also lost items that show it was delivered, but not where it was delivered, and obviously my neighbor kept it.
