it's surprising to see that so many people are using "avast".. it also is surprising to see that so many people are using "unspecified"..
i currently an using "avira" but i know that it does not provide the best protection.. i am thinking that i will switch to something else once my avira-license expires, but i am not sure what i will do.. |

Clam AV for my email servers (Windows and Linux).
Microsoft Security Essentials for the Windows boxes.
ThreatFire also for the Windows boxes (it's not officially available anymore since the Symantec assimilation of PC Tools, but it still works if you have it already installed (or have an archived copy of the installer). -- A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Re: ** 2013 Anti Virus Poll ** I've been using Avast since 4.8. I am currently using 6.0, but will not upgrade 7 until it looks okay to do so. One of the complaints I found was the google toolbar (or some such toolbar) it will install if you're not careful.

Re: ** 2013 Anti Virus Poll ** Thanks for the poll Surfinusa . It's nice to see what folks have. I'm using MSE on the Win7 64 laptops. Used to be a long-time Avast user but had mega problems a couple of versions ago. May return to Avast if MSE continues to score poorly in AV comparison tests. |

Per computer... • Norton Internet Security 2012 • Microsoft Security Essentials
Thinking about changing from Norton to KIS. GDATA looks great too... but I'm just not so sure as it's pretty new and seems like it might be resource hungry than the others. -- Remember that cool hidden "Graffiti Wall" here on BBR?
