[Off-Topic] General conversation for the BHN users

I am hoping the mods will let this stay. I thought it would be nice if the users of this subforum could have an off-topic thread where we could just "shoot the breeze" about anything off topic.

May help to bring the regulars of this forum together.

Mods - If I am out of line, please feel free to delete the thread.

So much for asking if I should leave my daisies in direct light.

Help me get rid of my squirrel problem in my planters!! I don't want to hurt them just shooo them away because they keep looking for nuts thus digging little holes every few feet all over the place...grrr.

Note to self: when presented with a problem, add lady bugs.

Sprinkle Cayenne pepper or Black Pepper in your planters.
Squirrel won't touch it.

Hmmm expensive but possible...of course my dog may not be exactly happy about that since he hunts lizards in the planters (but does not dig).

Cayenne works well for squirrels and it doesn't take much. I need to find a way to keep what I think is a rabbit helping himself to my herb garden.

there's always more than one rabbit. How do I know this? there's probably 30,000 of them in the 10 acres of backyard. Our dog chased a momma out of her hole and a baby ran after her. Lucky the dog didnt see it. Fits right in the palm of my hand....

LOL I think I can spare a reptile or two besides koko doesn't eat them...just plays with them sometimes to death. Half the time I think they end up scared or licked to death because he doesn't really bash or bite them. A few weeks back one caught a lucky break and nailed him on the nose...would not let go and well you know how this ended up.

I feel bad for the lizards that get on my porch. They stand no chance with my cat, so my son and I have to try and get to them before she does.

Okay since we're about to enter into hurricane season let's see who can guess the date of the first named Atlantic season storm.

I'll go first... June 5th.

I wish it would be on Nov 30th, the last day of hurricane season, but I'll say June 10th

So I recently updated a network diagram that I created for all devices on my network... It is absolutely AMAZING to me how much stuff I have on my network...

Oh yeah, well... well, take a look at my fancy network diagram of my home setup! (That took me way more time to do than it actually should have with MSPaint)
