[Tampa] Lightning Speed with Fixed IP?

Trying to solve a networking bug here.
Static Public IP would help.

A. Is there any way to get Fixed IP with consumer grade accounts?
B. If no, is it possible to get Business account with Lightning tier speeds?

If no to A and yes to B - appx how much extra for 60Mbps download connection?

Now that is interesting... How is this accomplished, and what fees are associated with this?

Edit: It was $10/mo for 1 IP or $20/mo for 5 IPs, according to chat support.

Gary, why is a technician needed to come out for static IP assignment? Or is this something you and your magic can accomplish if I post in the Direct Forums?

I'd like to know this as well. Last time I tried to get a static IP I was told I needed to have a business account and that was the only way a static ip was offered, which I had no need for. All I wanted was to run a private game server for me and a few friends. So I to would like to know why a tech is needed at home.

Guys not going to argue this point with you. A tech is required period. There is no charge so don't worry about it.

When I got my static IP, I actually asked the tech that came out this and he said they don't have a way of loading the boot file for static IPs remotely, also he had to do some stuff with the RIP settings.

That seems weird to me. When I was with knology , they had to set me up with a static IP temporarily for trouble shooting purposes. they gave me the info over the phone to use in my router. No tech came out.
Maybe thats why knology had so much trouble
