Line Stats: Should I be able to get 10 Mbit upstream?

I'm 50/10 plan with Start. Downstream is as it should be but my upstream is a little low, getting about 7.5 Mbps. Not that I'm complaining but for the sake of being anal in seeing faster speeds, based on these stats I pulled from the modem, is it possible to optimize the speed to bring it up to 10 Mbps?

Your upstream attainable speed shows 11944 kbps. The upstream required for 10meg is 11320 kbps...

It should be doable, though the sync maybe a little less.

You should ask Start's support to submit a ticket to Bell to raise your profile.

If I had to guess, I'd say you were on a Stinger, max stable upload is 7Mbps.

Stingers can handle 10meg upload. I'm on one and with a cellpipe or sagemcom i can get 10meg upload, but with a zhone modem which im using for stability because the bell modems suck for various reasons, i am only getting 7.5meg sync and its no problem.

Even if a modem syncs below the rated upload speed, it does not affect stability.
