IMG 1.9.4

It appears here in Texas we just got a IMG update. The build is now. Release: 1.9.4, Build Number: 16.13, Data Object Version Number: 36.13. I'm not sure what's new but i saw the box reboot and be locked for about 20 minutes to update.

I got the update also. There was no IMG for about 20 min until the upgrade was complete. Now all is upgraded

Same here, it was kind of annoying. I was watching something on the DVR at the time! I guess this is the ideal time to do it though. They probably figure that there will be the least amount of people watching tv at this hour.

Good question. I haven't played with it enough to know yet.

Motorola at least. Don't know if CISCO boxes will also get it.

Received in in VHO3 (Southern California) also as expected since Texas and we are in the same DAC.

That said, not seeing any real changes so far, but the Pandora widget and streaming audio via Verizon Media Manager still stutter and hesitate. I was promised a fix to this in July 2012 by the Verizon widget product manager (Jason) but of course the latest update did not include it.

The old thread on the stutter problem is »Re: Pandora Widget.

I see new stuff in Menu>Settings but that's all i have noticed. The update really mucked up one of my boxes. I had to reboot it this afternoon to see the HMDVR recordings.

As for the DVR, i rarely use the DVR itself. I mostly use the HMDVR. I just played with it for a minute. The response time for stopping starting, rewind, fast forward and browsing menus seems fine.

Expect an official announcment by Verizon in their forums about 2 weeks from now regarding this new rollout. Verizon has a knack for being late.

I posted my experience with 1.9.4 in the Verizon Forums several days ago:

Certainly not a complete review but what I have found so far.

Ugg.. got this too and now my guide just displays the current channel info whereas before it also showed the channels above and below it. Anyone know how I can get the old display back?

Sound like something messed up. Mine didn't do that at all.

Anyone got solid info of what 1.9.4 changes were done?

People w/ 19.4:
Check the following:
A) - Non DVR (7100) boxes when you press 'play' while viewing TV, don't currenty bring up the info bar, as the DVR's do .. This feature was supposed to be brought back for continuity ... Is it in 9.4?
B) - The current time display on the left top of info bar was missing only from the info bar that shows when watching a recording, has it been put back?

A. If you mean when watching a recording, yes, otherwise no. Have no clue what it did or didn't do before.
B. Yes.

Ok, figured it out or it auto corrected...(?) After the update the Guide just displayed what I had originally in the Favorites list. Since I only had one item in Favorites that is what Guide displayed. I used the option to add All to Favorites and now Guide works as expected.

Yes, that is only for Mot for now. I heard Cisco is a few weeks away from being upgraded to 1.9.4.

Since 1.9.4 I'm getting freezing/jitter/etc. on DVR playback. Pausing, fastforward and stopping stops it for awhile. It' s like the old jerky problem on steroids! The box even locked up once requiring a plug pull. It's a 7232.

Don't get too excited. Based on our experience since 1.9.4 was implemented here you would not want it. DVR replay and live TV buffering seems very problematic.

If that's what 1.9.4 is, we wouldn't like it. I guess in these sense later is better than first.
